Kotoka International Airport is an international airport serving the city of Accra. The operations at the airport are all under Ghana Airports Company Limited (GACL). It was initially known as Ghana International Airport, but was renamed in honor of the member of the National Liberation Council, Lt. General Emmanuel Kwasi Kotoka.
In 2014, the airport handled 2.547 million passengers. It currently is the primary base for domestic airlines Africa World Airlines and Starbow Airlines. It has also served base for Antrak Air.
