Kotoka International Airport is an international aviation hub in Accra, the capital of Ghana. The airport lies 10 kilometers from the city center. The airport has 29 airlines including major airlines like Africa World Airlines, Starbow Airlines, Arik Air, Ethiopian Airlines and South African Airlines flying here. The airport has flights connecting to major destinations like Lagos, Abidjan, Johannesburg, Paris, London and New York.

About Kotoka Airport

Kotoka International Airport is an international airport serving the city of Accra. The operations at the airport are all under Ghana Airports Company Limited (GACL). It was initially known as Ghana International Airport, but was renamed in honor of the member of the National Liberation Council, Lt. General Emmanuel Kwasi Kotoka.

In 2014, the airport handled 2.547 million passengers. It currently is the primary base for domestic airlines Africa World Airlines and Starbow Airlines. It has also served base for Antrak Air.
